Keith Jordan, LCSW – Licensed Clinical Social Worker

I am a private practice clinical social worker/therapist serving clients online and in Poughkeepsie, New York.  As your therapist, it is my priority to create a therapeutic atmosphere that promotes growth and positive change for you. I look forward to working with you to help you address your challenges and realize your goals. Therapy is a process that can move you toward being the healthiest version of yourself and living the life you desire.

As of April 2023, I am accepting new clients for Couples and Co-parenting work only, including referrals to my Couples Group and my Co-parenting Support Group.  The usual wait for a first appointment is about 3 weeks.

My sessions are either by video call using teletherapy.io, or in-office sessions for clients who have been vaccinated.

Treatment Approach

I use a variety of approaches to address my clients’ unique needs. I will utilize a foundation of behavioral, biopsychosocial, cognitive/cognitive-behavioral, existential/humanistic, family systems, and eclectic therapies and then quickly move toward a tailored treatment approach that includes tools to help sustain the growth experienced through therapy.

Additionally, there is a growing body of research that supports the practice of self-compassion and mindfulness in psychotherapy. Neuroscience research reveals that by practicing these techniques, people tend to be happier, more resilient, and better equipped to heal painful memories from the past. It is my honor and mission to help my clients move past what’s blocking them from reaching their full potential individually and in their relationships.

“What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.”
